February is the one-year anniversary of Gemini G.E.L. at Joni Moisant Weyl’s relocation to 535 West 24th Street, and we are marking the moment by celebrating architecture. The extraordinarily innovative, award-winning architect Frank Gehry has been making prints and sculptures with the Los Angeles-based artists’ workshop Gemini G.E.L. for over a decade. This presentation of his newest Gemini projects, as well as a survey of previous works, will grace our Stamberg Aferiat Architecture-designed gallery beginning on February 5 and continuing through April 13.
In the twelve years since discovering the collaborative possibilities to be found in the Los Angeles-based artists' workshop Gemini G.E.L., Ann Hamilton has created an impressively diverse body of prints and objects, and remains perhaps just as inquisitive about process as the day she arrived. On view atGemini G.E.L. at Joni Moisant Weyl from December 14, 2012 through January 26, 2013 is a survey of Hamilton’s collaborations with Gemini to date.
Gemini G.E.L. at Joni Moisant Weyl is pleased to present Spectral Colors, a series of seven new color lithographs by Ellsworth Kelly, on view in the gallery from October 26 – December 8, 2012.
This marks the initial New York presentation of a nationwide offering of Artists for Obama 2012, a portfolio of limited edition prints by 19 of America's most important and accomplished artists, created specifically to raise funds for President Obama's election to an all-important second term. The portfolio is printed in an edition of 150 by Gemini G.E.L.LLC.
